Lead, implement, and continuously improve the organization's quality control strategy for heavy engineering fabrication and manufacturing.
Develop and standardize QC policies, procedures, and inspection protocols to ensure products meet internal, customer, and international quality standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
Oversee all material, in-process, and final inspections, coordinating with QA teams, production, and external auditors.
Review and approve quality documentation, inspection reports, test certificates, and supplier compliance records.
Lead and mentor the QC team, setting measurable quality objectives and driving engagement in root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze quality performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective/preventive actions to minimize defects and improve process reliability.
Coordinate third-party/customer inspections, audits, and compliance activities.
Ensure adherence to safety and environmental policies during all QC activities.
Report quality metrics and significant issues to senior management, proposing solutions and driving accountability across teams.
Stay updated with the latest fabrication codes, quality standards, and technological advancements in QC/QA practices.
