Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Management System (QMS)
Implement and maintain IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 systems
Lead internal audits, management reviews, and customer audits
Ensure compliance to APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC
Drive continual improvement and defect prevention
2. Customer Quality & Assurance
one-point responsibility for customer quality performance
Handle customer complaints, 8D, root cause analysis, and closure
Lead PPAP submissions, PSW approvals, and change management
Coordinate with customers for quality issues, audits, and trials
3. Supplier Quality Management
Develop and monitor supplier quality performance
Conduct supplier audits and development programs
Approve incoming materials and subcontractors
Drive PPM reduction and supplier improvement plans
4. In-Process & Final Quality Control
Define inspection plans, control plans, and quality checkpoints
Ensure effective in-process and final inspection
Review and control process capability (Cp, Cpk)
Reduce internal rejections, rework, and scrap
5. Metallurgy & Process Quality (Forging-specific)
Control raw material quality, heat treatment, forging parameters
Ensure compliance of mechanical, chemical, and metallurgical properties
Oversee NDT, microstructure, hardness, and dimensional controls
Support process trials and new product development
6. Calibration & Measurement Systems
Ensure calibration and MSA of gauges, instruments, and CMM
Maintain traceability and records for all measurement systems
Approve new gauges and fixtures
7. Documentation & Records
Control quality manuals, SOPs, work instructions, and records
Ensure traceability, lot control, and document retention
Support statutory and customer compliance requirements
8. Team Leadership & Training
Lead and develop Quality engineers, inspectors, and lab staff
Identify training needs on quality tools and customer requirements
Build a quality-first culture across the plant
