About The Role
Group Bayport is looking for a dynamic and strategic
PR Lead to drive the company's brand narrative, media presence, and reputation across global markets. This role will be instrumental in shaping how the organization is perceived across key stakeholders including media, customers, and industry influencers. You will work closely with the CMO & Ecommerce Business Head to build a high-impact PR strategy that supports business growth, brand positioning, and category leadership.
Role Mandate : Lead and institutionalize a
world-class global PR function for Group Bayport owning brand reputation, narrative architecture, and media influence across key markets. This role goes beyond execution to shaping perception, driving category leadership, and influencing business outcomes through communications.
Core Responsibilities
Narrative Leadership & Brand Influence
- Position Group Bayport as a category-defining, thought-leading organization, in the domain of Custom ecommerce
- Partner with leadership to craft high-impact storytelling for investors, customers, and media
- Define and own the company's global narrative across business lines , corporate , different functions
Strategic PR Architecture
- Build and scale a full-funnel PR strategy integrating earned, owned, and paid media
- Establish a repeatable PR engine that supports growth, launches, and market expansion
- Drive share of voice, credibility, and trust in highly competitive markets
Media Capital & Influence Network
- Leverage and expand deep relationships with top-tier global and regional media, editors, and influencers
- Personally anchor high-stakes engagements exclusive stories, leadership interviews, and industry features
- Create disproportionate visibility through high-quality earned media
Business-Critical Launches & Moments
- Lead PR strategy for new business launches, product introductions, funding announcements, and strategic pivots
- Orchestrate integrated campaigns that amplify across PR, performance marketing, and brand channels
- Own reputation and crisis management, ensuring proactive risk mitigation
Paid PR & Distribution Strategy
- Design a smart mix of earned + paid PR amplification, leveraging platforms like Business Wire and similar tools
- Ensure maximum ROI on visibility and reach, especially in key growth markets
Measurement & Impact
- Define success metrics beyond vanity- share of voice, sentiment, brand lift, authority, and business impact
- Build a data-driven PR function with clear dashboards and executive reporting
Leadership & Cross-functional Influence
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing PR team and agency ecosystem
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CMO , Ecommerce Business Head and leadership team
- Ensure tight integration with growth, brand, product, and analytics teams
Experience Profile
- 10+ years of progressive PR leadership experience, with a strong stint in ecommerce, consumer tech, or high-growth startups , PR agency
- Graduate , Postgraduate in Marketing communication. Mass communication.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale PR functions at a leadership level
- Proven success in creating high-impact narratives and securing tier-1 media coverage
- Strong network across business, technology, and startup media ecosystems
- Experience leading major launches, funding announcements, or market entries
- Deep familiarity with PR tools, analytics, and distribution platforms (e.g., Business Wire)
- Exceptional executive presence, storytelling ability, and stakeholder management
