Job description for Head of Production Technology
Key Responsibilities:
Automation and Innovation
- Improve automation levels in existing production tools and templates to enhance efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
- Proactively come up with innovative solutions to solve technical challenges in production workflows.
Continual Improvement & Cost Efficiency
- Lead continual improvement projects with a focus on reducing costs and optimizing operational efficiency.
- Achieve cost-saving targets while maintaining high-quality production standards.
Customer Onboarding & Workflow Delivery
- Ensure smooth transitions for new customers by delivering tools, workflows, and SOPs on time and to specification.
- Define workflows, deploy automation, and integrate products like workflow management systems, authoring platforms, and other tools into client environments.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Work closely with the solution architect to provide necessary inputs and support for winning new customers.
- Assist in creating competitive project estimates for new clients, ensuring successful sales and delivery.
- Work with the products team to provide valuable inputs for integrating new products within existing workflows.
Technology Vision
- Develop and communicate the overarching vision for the technology function, ensuring it supports the organization's goals.
- Constantly evaluate and refresh technology platforms, tools, and processes to stay ahead of industry trends and demands.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 20+ years of experience in production technology, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role in a publishing services organization.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in the design, development, and delivery of software products to market, specifically in SaaS or cloud-based applications.
Education
PG: M.Tech in Any Specialization, MS/M.Sc(Science) in Any Specialization
