Head of Production

Head of Production | OroCraft Jewellery LLP | Andheri East, Mumbai | Full-time

OroCraft Jewellery is establishing India's first dedicated 24KT gold jewellery manufacturing house, positioning purity as a new category in the Indian market. We are seeking a Head of Production to build and lead our manufacturing operations across the full production chain, from raw metal to finished piece.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the entire production process — casting, wire drawing, sheet making, stamping, chain making, laser cutting, laser welding, and CNC
• Own the setup, commissioning, and calibration of the production floor, machinery, and processes as the facility scales to full capacity
• Establish production workflows, standard operating procedures, and quality benchmarks across every department
• Manage production planning, tracking, and reporting through the GATI ERP system
• Plan and manage production schedules to meet output targets and delivery timelines
• Build, train, lead, and scale the production team, including supervisors and karigars
• Optimise metal flow, minimise gold loss, and maintain strict reconciliation across all processes
• Ensure consistent quality and finish across all product lines
• Coordinate closely with the CAD, design, and sales teams to align production with demand
• Drive efficiency, throughput, and cost control across the floor
• Maintain machinery upkeep, safety standards, and compliance across the facility

Requirements

• Extensive experience in gold jewellery manufacturing across casting, chain making, wire drawing, sheet making, stamping, laser cutting, laser welding, and CNC
• Proven experience setting up and commissioning production facilities and machinery
• Working knowledge of the GATI ERP system for production management
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of building and managing production teams
• Deep understanding of metal management, gold loss control, and quality standards
• Hands-on, problem-solving approach with strong operational discipline
• A collaborative attitude, with the flexibility to take on responsibilities beyond the defined role
