Head of Production Department

Job Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for production planning, execution, quality, and timely delivery.
• Manage the complete offset printing production process from pre-press to printing, finishing, and dispatch.
• Plan daily/weekly production schedules according to customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
• Manage and monitor offset printing machines, manpower, materials, and production capacity.
• Ensure optimum machine utilization and minimize wastage, downtime, make-ready time, and rejections.
• Maintain consistent print quality, colour accuracy, registration, and finishing standards.
• Coordinate closely with Pre-Press, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Sales, and Dispatch teams.
• Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce operating costs.
• Ensure proper preventive maintenance and timely resolution of machine breakdowns in coordination with the maintenance team.
• Establish and enforce production SOPs, quality standards, safety procedures, and housekeeping.
• Lead, train, motivate, and discipline production staff and operators.
• Track production KPIs and submit regular production reports to management.
• Handle production issues and customer-critical jobs effectively under tight deadlines.
• Continuously improve production processes, workflow, productivity, and efficiency.
