About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Production Head to manage and optimise operations at our Katha manufacturing plant in Sonipat. Candidates with direct experience in Katha, Catechu, Cutch, or Khair processing will be given the highest priority.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of extraction processes, production planning, yield improvement, quality control, cost optimisation, and overall plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end production operations and ensure achievement of production targets.
• Optimise Khair wood utilisation, extraction processes, and Katha/Cutch recovery yields.
• Monitor raw material quality, procurement, wood preparation, chipping, and processing.
• Improve production efficiency, product quality, and cost per kg.
• Control process losses, wastage, power and fuel consumption.
• Manage labour productivity, manpower planning, and shift operations.
• Oversee batch control, process parameters, quality standards, and process optimisation.
• Ensure effective production planning, inventory control, and timely dispatches.
• Monitor plant utilisation, machinery performance, and boiler/heating operations, wherever applicable.
• Prepare production MIS reports and track key performance indicators, including yield, output, and conversion costs.
• Implement safety standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Candidate Profile

• 10–15+ years of experience in manufacturing, production management, or process industries.
• Strong preference for candidates with direct experience in Katha, Catechu, Cutch, or Khair wood processing.
• Candidates from tannin extraction, natural extracts, herbal/botanical extraction, forest products, Ayurvedic manufacturing, or chemical process industries may also be considered.
• Strong understanding of raw material recovery, extraction processes, production yield, quality control, and cost management.
• Proven ability to improve plant productivity, reduce process losses, and optimise manufacturing costs.
• Experience managing factory teams, production planning, inventory, and operational MIS.
• Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

• Katha and Cutch recovery per tonne of Khair wood.
• Production yield and raw material utilisation.
• Product quality and consistency.
• Conversion cost per kg.
• Power and fuel consumption.
• Labour productivity and plant utilisation.
• Process losses, wastage, and production efficiency.
