About Us

Josh Talks AI Lab works on applied AI projects at the intersection of language, audio, data, and research.

We are a small, ambitious team building serious AI systems and research-led products. Our work sits close to foundational AI infrastructure, including language, speech, datasets, benchmarks, and applied AI systems.

We are looking for people who can help us communicate this work with clarity, depth, and taste.

About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Product Marketing who can own how Josh Talks AI Lab communicates its work to the world.

This is a senior role for someone who can understand technical AI work deeply, translate it into sharp public communication, and build the narrative around what we are creating.

You will work closely with the founding team to shape product positioning, research-led storytelling, launch communication, website messaging, founder content, social media strategy, and ecosystem communication.

This role is not about generic marketing. It is about building trust, clarity, and credibility around serious AI work.

We want someone who can take technical complexity and make it feel important, obvious, and easy to understand  without making it shallow.

What You'll Own

You will lead product marketing and communication for Josh Talks AI Lab across products, research, datasets, benchmarks, and public launches.

Your work may include:

  • Building the product marketing strategy for AI Lab
  • Defining positioning, messaging, and narratives for AI products and research-led work
  • Creating launch plans for new products, datasets, benchmarks, and announcements
  • Writing and editing high-quality content for LinkedIn, X/Twitter, blogs, website pages, and founder communication
  • Translating internal technical updates into simple, compelling external communication
  • Working with Product, Research, Tech, and Founding teams to understand what is being built and why it matters
  • Creating founder posts, thought-leadership pieces, launch notes, product explainers, and ecosystem updates
  • Studying how the best AI companies communicate and applying those learnings thoughtfully
  • Building and managing a consistent content calendar
  • Owning website messaging and improving how visitors understand AI Lab's work
  • Supporting conference, research, hiring, partnership, and ecosystem communication
  • Tracking performance of communication efforts and using insights to improve future strategy
  • Building a small but high-quality communication system that compounds over time

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with 8–12 years of experience in product marketing, growth marketing, brand strategy, content strategy, founder's office, communications, or a related role.

You should be someone who:

  • Writes extremely clearly
  • Has strong taste and judgment in communication
  • Can understand technical products and explain them simply
  • Is deeply curious about AI, technology, research, and product building
  • Can work closely with founders and senior technical teams
  • Can create strategy as well as execute hands-on
  • Understands how the internet works and how ideas spread
  • Can build narratives that make serious work interesting
  • Is comfortable using AI tools to research, write, edit, and improve workflows
  • Can manage multiple communication workstreams independently
  • Has high ownership, strong follow-through, and very high attention to detail
  • Can build processes without becoming slow or bureaucratic

You do not need to be an AI researcher, but you should be willing to go deep into AI, speech, language, datasets, benchmarks, and technical products.

  • A weak post sounds generic.
  • A strong post makes a technical idea feel obvious, important, and worth caring about.
  • A weak launch says what was built.
  • A strong launch explains why it matters, who it helps, what changes because of it, and why now.
  • A weak product marketer waits for information.
  • A strong product marketer asks the right questions, understands the product deeply, finds the story, and creates communication that builds credibility.

We are looking for someone with taste, clarity, and strategic thinking  someone who can make people care about serious AI work.
