About the Role
Internset is seeking an exceptional Head of Product Communications to lead and define the company's product narrative across multiple audiences.
In this role, you will build and lead a Product Communications function, working closely with product, marketing, and leadership teams to develop messaging that clearly explains complex technologies and communicates their real-world value.
You will oversee product launches, feature announcements, and long-term product storytelling while translating technical capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with enterprise buyers, developers, and advanced technology users.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the Product Communications function, defining how Internset communicates product capabilities, updates, and innovation to enterprise customers, developers, and advanced users.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product communications strategy that aligns product messaging with company goals, market positioning, and user needs.
- Lead communications for product launches, feature releases, and platform updates, ensuring clear and compelling messaging across all channels.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across product development and go-to-market initiatives.
- Develop communication strategies that help enterprise customers understand product value, capabilities, and real-world use cases.
- Create narratives that engage developer communities and technical audiences through clear technical storytelling and product positioning.
- Oversee the creation of product messaging assets including announcements, product narratives, blog posts, technical explainers, and launch content.
- Establish messaging frameworks that ensure consistency in how products and features are communicated across the organization.
- Coach product leaders, engineers, and subject matter experts on effective external communication and storytelling.
- Monitor industry trends and evolving technology narratives to ensure product communications remain relevant and competitive.
- Build and manage a high-performing product communications team as the organization grows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience in product communications, product marketing, or technology communications roles.
- Proven experience leading product communication strategies for technology products or platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for enterprise, developer, and consumer audiences.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving product, marketing, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Experience managing and mentoring communications or marketing teams.
- Strong strategic thinking skills combined with the ability to execute and deliver results in fast-moving environments.
- Ability to understand emerging technologies and communicate their value clearly to different stakeholders.
- Experience working in high-growth technology companies or startup environments is preferred.
