Head of PrimeServ STG

The Head PrimeServ STG is responsible for leading the aftersales service business for Steam Turbine Generator equipment, covering both the company's own products and those of other OEMs (Omnicare).

The role will drive service strategy, operational excellence, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction across local and global markets. The position oversees field service execution, service bidding, order management, and aftersales support, ensuring high-quality service delivery and profitable service operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business and sales strategies to achieve organizational objectives and drive revenue growth for the PrimeServ STG service business.
  • Identify and capitalize on new service opportunities, including maintenance, repairs, retrofits, upgrades, and long-term service agreements for both company products and third-party OEM equipment.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and potential business risks.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of service bids, proposals, and tenders, ensuring technical accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with key customers, closing high-value deals and securing long-term service contracts.
  • Establish sales and service targets, monitor performance metrics, and ensure achievement of business objectives.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of field service activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.
  • Ensure effective coordination of service delivery, order management, and project execution to meet customer expectations and operational targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams including sales professionals, field service engineers, bid management, order management, and aftersales support teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer experience, service quality, and repeat business.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Work closely with engineering, supply chain, product development, project management, and finance teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of business and service initiatives.
  • Familiarize, understand and implement safety, and environment policy, procedures, legal regulations, company's code of conduct and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility.

Key Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of Steam Turbine Generator, rotating equipment, and power plant operations.
  • Expertise in aftermarket service operations, including maintenance, repairs, retrofits, and upgrades.

Qualification & Experience

  • 1015 years of relevant experience in the power generation, steam turbine, or heavy rotating equipment industry.
  • Extensive experience in aftermarket services, field service operations, or industrial service business.
  • Proven track record in leading large technical and commercial teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Steam Turbine Generator equipment and industrial service environments.
  • Experience managing global service operations and multi-customer service portfolios is preferred

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial) or related
  • MBA Degree in Marketing/Sales might be an added advantage.
