Role Description The Head of Packaging (Internship) at Layers will lead and support end-to-end packaging activities for ANARC and related products. This is an internship role based in Delhi, OH with a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating packaging design concepts, collaborating with design and engineering teams, and ensuring packaging aligns with brand, cost, and sustainability objectives. The role will involve managing packing processes, creating and updating packaging documentation, running trials, and assisting with vendor coordination and material sourcing. The intern will also support quality checks on packaging, analyze packaging performance data, and contribute to continuous improvement of packaging standards and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Packaging Design and Packaging Engineering, with the ability to translate brand and technical requirements into practical packaging solutions.
- Hands-on skills in Packing operations and packaging implementation, including material handling, assembly, and efficient workflow setup.
- Experience or coursework in Quality Control for packaging, including inspection methods, defect identification, and adherence to specifications.
- Research skills to evaluate materials, suppliers, sustainability options, and industry best practices in packaging.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with design, operations, and supply chain teams.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple packaging tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in consumer electronics, wearable technology, and brand-focused product presentation is preferred.
