How We Work
- Operators First — We value execution over theory. If you're someone who builds, ships, and
iterates, you'll fit right in.
- Ownership Mindset — End-to-end accountability.
- Speed with Compliance — We move fast, but never cut corners on regulatory obligations.
- Tech first from Scratch — Detail oriented with a tech-first mindset.
- High Intensity, High Trust — Small team, outsized impact. We expect a lot and give a lot in
return.
The Role
We're looking for a Head of Operations to own and scale operations across forex, remittance, and prepaid
cards. This is not a maintenance role — it's a build role. You'll be responsible for product-scale
operations, team growth, compliance infrastructure, and geographic expansion.
You'll work closely with the COO, product, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure operational
excellence as we scale transaction volumes and enter new markets.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Process
- Own end-to-end remittance, forex, and card operations — from transaction initiation through
settlement and reconciliation
- Design and enforce SOPs, workflows, and escalation matrices for all operational processes
- Ensure SLA adherence across turnaround time, accuracy, and compliance benchmarks
- Drive automation in partnership with product and engineering to reduce manual intervention and
improve throughput
Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure full compliance with RBI, FEMA, and LRS regulations across all operational touchpoints
- Work with the compliance team to manage regulatory reporting, audits, and filings (including
CIMS, FLM-8, and AP Connect submissions)
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes and proactively adapt operational processes
Metrics & Reporting
- Define and track key operational metrics — TAT, cost per transaction, error rates, settlement
efficiency, and partner performance
- Build and maintain a daily/weekly MIS and reporting framework for leadership visibility
- Identify bottlenecks, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
Team & Scale
- Hire, train, and scale the operations team as transaction volumes grow
- Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, customer experience, and finance teams
- Expand banking and payment partner relationships and support geographic expansion into new
remittance corridors
What You Must Bring
- 10+ years of experience in forex, remittance, or fintech operations, with at least 3 years in a
leadership role
- Deep working knowledge of RBI regulations in some capacity.
- Proven experience building and scaling operations teams in a high-growth, high-volume
transaction environment
- Strong process orientation — you think in systems, SOPs, and scalable frameworks
- Comfort with ambiguity and the pace of a startup environment
Good to Have
- Experience with prepaid forex cards or multi-currency card products
- Exposure to automation tools, workflow platforms, or BPM systems
- Experience working with banking partners, correspondent banks, or payment aggregators
- Familiarity with FEMA, LRS, AD-II licensing requirements, and cross-border payment mechanics
Why MoneyHOP
You'll be joining at a pivotal moment. MoneyHOP has an in-principal RBI AD-II licence, a proven product,
a growing customer base, and a strategic investor coming in. This is the rare opportunity to build a
regulated fintech's operations function from the ground up — with the backing to actually scale it.
If you're tired of maintaining someone else's systems and want to build your own, we'd love to hear from
you.
