Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to lead end-to-end execution of drone-based projects. The role involves managing project lifecycle, vendor networks, operational planning, data quality assurance, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management
- Manage projects from feasibility assessment to final delivery
- Plan execution strategies, timelines, and resource allocation
- Ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, and quality standards
- Vendor Management
- Identify, onboard, and manage drone service vendors
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors across regions
- Ensure timely payments and resolve vendor-related queries
- Operational Planning & Costing
- Prepare detailed operational costing for data acquisition and execution
- Work closely with the Business Development team for project planning, budgeting, and timelines
- Data Quality Assurance
- Review and validate data captured by vendors to ensure it meets quality standards
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements
- Data Handover & Processing Coordination
- Coordinate with internal processing teams for timely data handover
- Monitor processing timelines and ensure adherence to delivery schedules
- Client Delivery & Feedback Management
- Oversee final delivery of outputs to clients
- Gather client feedback and coordinate reprocessing if required
- Technical Leadership
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in drone technologies
- Lead technical discussions with internal teams and clients
- Stay updated with advancements in drone ecosystems, especially DJI platforms
- Innovation & R&D
- Drive internal innovation and experimentation using drone technologies
- Execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new solutions with clients
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in drone operations and project execution
- Hands-on knowledge of drone platforms, sensors, and data acquisition workflows
- Expertise in mission planning (automated flights, mapping, inspection)
- Familiarity with tools/software used in drone data processing and analysis
- Excellent vendor management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with enterprise clients in infrastructure, telecom, or mapping sectors
- Knowledge of DGCA regulations and flight permissions in India
- Exposure to LiDAR, photogrammetry, and 3D modeling workflows
