Experience:
Minimum 20+ years of overall experience in Construction / Infrastructure projects ,managing large, multi-site operations
Role Purpose
The HEAD Operationsis responsible for defining and executing the company's operational strategy, ensuring excellence in project delivery, execution, financial performance, resource optimization, and stakeholder management. The role provides enterprise-level leadership to drive scalable growth, profitability, governance, and operational excellence across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
1.Strategy & Business Execution
Define and implement long-term operational strategy aligned with organizational vision and growth plans.
Translate business objectives into executable operational roadmaps and delivery frameworks.
Oversee end-to-end execution of all construction projects ensuring time, cost, quality, and safety compliance.
2.Project Delivery & Execution Excellence
Provide leadership for large, complex, and multi-location construction projects.
Establish project governance, delivery standards, and performance benchmarks.
Ensure continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency, and execution quality.
3.Resource, Vendor & Capability Management
Drive enterprise-wide manpower planning and mobilization across projects.
Oversee contractor, vendor, and supplier strategy to ensure performance, cost efficiency, and compliance.
Build leadership capability and succession planning across operations teams.
4.Financial Planning, Budgeting & Control
Own operational financial performance including budgeting, cost control, margins, cash flow, and profitability.
Review and approve project budgets, variation claims, major procurement, and commercial decisions.
Partner with Finance for financial governance, audits, and risk management.
5.Progress Optimization & Technology Enablement
Champion adoption of construction technology, digital project controls, and data-driven decision-making.
Drive standardization of processes, systems, and reporting across projects.
Promote innovation and modern construction practices to improve speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
6.Stakeholder, Client & Governance Management
Act as primary executive interface with key clients, consultants, lenders, and regulatory authorities.
Lead high-level negotiations, conflict resolution, and contractual discussions.
Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, quality, and corporate governance standards.
7.Leadership, Culture & Governance
Provide visionary leadership to senior project, engineering, and functional heads.
Build a performance-driven, safety-first, and quality-focused organizational culture.
Present operational performance, risk assessments, and strategic updates to the Board.
8.Technical & Functional Expertise
Extensive experience in RCC and Steel structure construction
Strong command over EPC / Design-Build / Turnkey project execution models
Deep understanding of contracts, claims management, billing, and commercial controls
Proven ability to manage large-scale, high-value infrastructure projects
