Job Description

Reporting to the MD and VP Ops (APAC) the candidate will be responsible for

  • Overseeing endtoend plant operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and ontime delivery while supporting longterm India growth strategy.
  • Leading and optimizing production, planning, quality, maintenance, and material planning to achieve operational excellence, zerodefect performance, strong equipment availability, and inventory/stock targets.
  • Driving strategic goalsetting, operational KPIs, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and production system initiatives across the plant.
  • Ensuring robust manufacturing processes, master scheduling, and delivery planning aligned with sales forecasts, customer needs, and company standards.
  • Managing capital investment planning, facility readiness, new plant/line setup, and compliance with EHS rules through proactive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Developing operational talent by supervising department managers, maintaining work instructions, and implementing skillbuilding and training programs.

The Successful Applicant

  • An ideal candidate brings 20+ years of experience in multinational manufacturing environments, including a decade of strong leadership.
  • They hold an engineering degree (Mechanical/Electronics) and have a proven track record in NPI, construction, relocation, and Lean/6 Sigma initiatives.
  • Deep expertise across operations, including shop floor management, warehouse, ERP/MRP, ISO9001 quality systems, EHS, and lean methodologies is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, fluency in English, passion for continuous improvement, and solid computer proficiency
