Job Description

Role: Operations Head

We are seeking an Operations Head to join our founding team. We are the fastest-growing medical tourism company in the world, operating across 280+ internationally accredited hospitals in 10+ countries. You will own the entire patient operations function every active case, every process, every person executing it. This is a role for someone who takes pride in building things that work, leading teams that deliver, and making a real difference in how patients experience their care journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end patient operations across all active cases from deposit confirmation to post-travel follow-up across all source markets (US, UK, Germany, Australia)
  • Manage and develop a team of Medical Operations Associates set expectations, run daily standups, coach performance, and hold the team accountable to SLAs
  • Identify gaps and breakdowns in our 24-step operations workflow and fix them proactively, not reactively
  • Build and enforce SOPs for every stage of the patient journey: documentation, hospital coordination, travel logistics, communication cadences, and discharge follow-up
  • Own the patient dashboard as a live operational tool make sure every case is accurately tracked and that no case falls through the cracks
  • Escalation owner: when something goes sideways with a patient, a hospital, or a logistics partner, you're the one who steps in and resolves it
  • Work closely with hospital partners, travel vendors, and visa support teams to tighten turnaround times and reduce friction across the journey
  • Report directly to the founding team on operational health case volume, SLA adherence, escalation patterns, and where the function needs to scale

Required Qualifications

  • 36 years of experience in operations healthcare, hospitality, patient coordination, or a high-volume service environment preferred
  • Proven people manager you've run a team, dealt with underperformance, and built processes that didn't exist before you joined
  • Obsessively organized. You don't just track things you build systems so your team can track things without you
  • Strong communicator across formats: confident on calls with anxious patients, precise in written SOPs, clear in team briefings
  • Comfortable across time zones our patients are in the US, UK, Germany, and Australia, and the job doesn't stop at 6pm IST
  • High emotional intelligence. We deal with real people going through serious health challenges. You need to hold that seriously, and make sure your team does too
  • Problem-solver who moves fast. We don't have the luxury of slow decisions when a patient is mid-journey
