Job Summary
The Operations head supports and partners with the Chief operating officer to oversee the day-to-day functioning of the organization. This role is designed for a strategic, hands-on leader who can both execute operational priorities and step in as acting director when required.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Leadership Support
- Assist the COO in developing and implementing operational strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Act as a trusted deputy, representing the COO in meetings, negotiations, and cross-functional forums.
- Lead or co-lead strategic initiatives and transformation projects on behalf of the COO.
Day-to-Day Operations
- Oversee operational workflows across departments to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, producing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Identify bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies and drive resolution proactively.
People & Team Management
- Supervise and mentor operational team leaders and staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and communication.
Budget & Resources
- Assist in preparing and managing operational budgets, tracking expenditure against targets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service delivery.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and partners on operational matters.
- Prepare briefings, presentations, and correspondence on behalf of the COO .
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 12–18 years of progressive experience in operations or a related function, with at least 2–3 years in a management role.
- Proven track record of managing complex operational processes and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with budget management and resource planning.
- Experience in multi plant handling and ready to work in a matrix organization
