About the Company
Lenskart operates at the intersection of design, technology, and retail at scale. This isn't a merchandising role in the traditional sense. You will be the architect of a product-first, AI-native merchandising engine that determines what millions of customers across the globe see, want, and buy — at a company redefining what it means to be a fashion-tech brand.
About the Role
As Merchandising Leader, you will own the full commercial intelligence layer — from assortment strategy and new product launches to dynamic pricing and AI-driven lifecycle decisions. At its core, this role blends product thinking, commercial acumen, and AI adaptability — requiring someone who can seamlessly operate across data, design, and business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Build the AI-Powered Merchandising Engine: Define and deploy AI/ML-driven capabilities across Lenskart's merchandising stack — bringing an AI-first mindset and continuously identifying opportunities to automate and improve decision-making.
- Lead Product Launches & Seasonal Strategy: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of product launches, including building seasonal calendars and collaborating closely with marketing, design, and growth teams for effective go-to-market execution.
- Lead Global Assortment & Category Strategy: Define category architecture while balancing global brand positioning with local relevance. Combine data-driven insights with strong product and aesthetic intuition.
- Own Pricing, Margin & Commercial Performance: Drive pricing strategy using dynamic models, experimentation, and a balance of analytical rigor and creative problem-solving.
- Drive Demand Planning & Inventory Intelligence: Implement predictive demand planning models in collaboration with supply chain to ensure optimal product availability.
- Shape the Omnichannel Product Experience: Collaborate with marketing, digital, and retail teams to deliver consistent and compelling product storytelling across channels.
- Build & Lead a World-Class, AI-First Team: Build a team strong in analytics, product thinking, and creativity, fostering a culture of AI adoption and continuous learning.
