Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the mechanical design team (20–50 members) focused on automation and robotics solutions
- Manage the creation of detailed mechanical assembly and fabrication drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, robotics, and industrial design teams to align design outputs with product and market requirements
- Oversee and improve design workflows using Value Engineering principles to optimize cost, quality, and functionality
- Drive external vendor relationships and support sourcing by establishing connections with manufacturers and fabrication partners
- Lead internal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) efforts using computer modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation)
- Monitor project timelines, allocate resources, and ensure delivery of high-quality engineering outputs
- Mentor and train junior engineers to build technical capabilities across the team
- Contribute to strategic design planning and the continual improvement of engineering standards and toolsets
