Head of Marketing- EV Commercial Vehicles- Hyderabad
Role Summary
As Head of Marketing, you will define and lead the marketing strategy for our EV commercial vehicle portfolio. You will shape brand storytelling, demand generation, product marketing, partnerships, and communications to drive revenue growth, market share, and customer loyalty. You will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Strategy, and Operations to position our vehicles as category leaders in a rapidly evolving market.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategy aligned with company revenue targets and GTM plans for global markets.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing marketing team including Product Marketing, Brand, Demand Gen, Digital, Field Marketing, and PR.
- Own forecasting, budgeting, and ROI measurement of all marketing programs; optimize spend and resource allocation.
- Market & Customer Insight
- Define target segments (fleet operators, logistics providers, city planners, government fleets) and build in-depth personas, journey maps, and competitive intelligence.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory impacts, charging infrastructure developments, and incentives to inform positioning and roadmap priorities.
- Product & Messaging
- Develop clear value propositions and messaging for EV commercial vehicles, including TCO, uptime, charging integration, total cost of ownership, and reliability.
- Collaborate with Product Management to define product positioning, launch plans, and enablement materials for new or refreshed models.
- Demand Generation & Revenue Growth
- Create a scalable field marketing and partner ecosystem strategy to accelerate deal cycles in target verticals (logistics, 3PL, transportation, and fleet operators).
- Establish lead-to-revenue processes, attribution models, and rigorous measurement of marketing impact on pipeline and revenue.
- Brand, Communications & Thought Leadership
- Build and protect a strong brand for the EV commercial vehicle business; drive awareness, credibility, and trust among fleets, OEM partners, and policymakers.
- Lead corporate communications, executive communications, press relations, and crisis management as needed.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with charging networks, fleet management platforms, telematics providers, and financing partners.
- Create co-marketing programs with OEMs, suppliers, and channel partners to expand reach and adoption.
- Digital & Demand Acceleration
- Own the digital ecosystem: website, content hub, SEO, analytics, and marketing tech stack (MAP, CRM, automation, ABM tools).
- Implement data-driven optimization, experimentation, and personalization to improve engagement and conversion across channels.
- Champion customer success marketing initiatives, case studies, testimonials, and reference programs to accelerate sales cycles and renewals.
- Compliance, Sustainability & Ethics
- Ensure marketing practices comply with regional regulations, data privacy laws, and industry standards; advocate sustainable marketing practices.
Required Qualifications-
- Education: Master's degree preferred (MBA or related business/engineering discipline); or equivalent extensive experience.
- Experience: 20+ years of marketing leadership experience, with a proven track record in B2B marketing for enterprise/industrial sectors; experience in EV, automotive, commercial vehicles, or mobility tech is highly desirable.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of fleet management, logistics, transportation economics, EV charging infrastructure, fleet electrification incentives, and regulatory landscapes.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and mentor a global marketing team; strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Strategy, and Operations.
- Strategy & Execution: Data-driven with a history of developing go-to-market plans that drive pipeline and revenue; strong budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analytics.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication, public speaking, and executive-level interpersonal skills.
- Digital & Tools: Proficiency with marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), CRM (Salesforce), analytics (GA, Tableau/Power BI), ABM platforms, SEO/SEM, and common mar tech stack.
- Global Perspective: Experience scaling campaigns across multiple regions, languages, and regulatory environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government fleets, public procurement, or fleet electrification programs.
- Background in product marketing for hardware or industrial goods.
- Track record of successful partnerships with OEMs, charging providers, or financing institutions.
- Language skills beyond English for key regional markets.
