Role summary
Own the brand narrative and the growth engine end-to-end. You'll convert strategy into measurable pipeline by operating at CMO depth (positioning, messaging, GTM, lifecycle, analytics) while running a high-tempo, AI-assisted marketing operation with clear guardrails and ROI discipline.
What you'll own
Brand & positioning
- Define mission, ICPs, category, differentiation; maintain a single source of truth for messaging (web, decks, sales collateral, PR).
- Enforce tone, visual standards, and brand QA across all touchpoints.
GTM & launches
- Plan and ship product/feature launches: narratives, proof (use cases, case stories), enablement kits (battlecards, ROI one-pagers), and post-launch readouts.
Growth & lifecycle
- Build a repeatable funnel: awareness engagement MQL/SQL revenue expansion.
- Stand up lifecycle programs (email/in-app/webinars/community) with clear segmentation and offer testing.
Digital & performance
- Operate a focused mix (SEO/content, LinkedIn, paid pilots on Google/Meta/LinkedIn) with budget guardrails.
- Drive landing-page and offer experimentation; maintain test backlogs and clean experiment readouts.
Content & social
- Editorial calendar for thought leadership and POV; scale founder/leadership LinkedIn with quality over volume.
- Convert complex product ideas into concise copy, visuals, and narrative decks.
Revenue enablement
- Equip Sales/BD with ICP briefs, competitive teardowns, objection handling, and sequence templates; align marketing sales SLAs.
Measurement & ops
- Set north-star + operating metrics (brand search, qualified traffic, MQL/SQL, win-rate, CAC, payback, LTV).
- Build a simple dashboard; run weekly reviews; recommend stop/scale/fix actions with cost/impact.
AI-augmented marketing (with guardrails)
- Design prompt libraries and SOPs for research, briefs, drafts, repurposing, and creative ideation.
- Use AI tools to speed insight synthesis and asset production; apply human-in-the-loop checks for factuality, brand voice, and compliance.
- Track productivity deltas (turnaround time, content velocity, experimentation throughput).
Must-have qualifications
- 68 years in brand/growth or product marketing in tech (SaaS/FinTech/AdTech/Consumer preferred) with accountable ownership of narrative, web, content, and demand programs.
- Demonstrated wins across positioning + GTM + funnel metrics (e.g., qualified pipeline, win-rate, CAC/payback).
- Hands-on digital execution (SEO/content, LinkedIn, basic paid), strong copy for web/decks/announcements.
- AI competency: practical use of ChatGPT/Claude/Copilot for research synthesis, briefs, first-drafts, and QA; can define prompt standards and review criteria.
- Operator mindset: rigorous planning, crisp comms, agency/vendor management, and budget ownership.
Nice to have
- Experience in payments/fintech, media/adtech, retail, or B2B SaaS.
- Sales enablement depth; event/partner co-marketing; PR fundamentals.
- Light design chops (Figma/Canva) for quick mockups.
