Silver Oak University, Ahmedabad is looking for an experienced, academically accomplished individual to take on the role of Head of Institute / Principal in Department of Law.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Department of Law.

2. Foster a culture of academic excellence and professional growth among faculty through regular

evaluations, mentorship, and support for research initiatives.

3. Support faculty and students in their scholarly endeavors, encouraging publications, academic partnerships, and the development of research centers.

4. Work collaboratively with university leadership to establish strategic goals for the Faculty of Law. Manage resources effectively to ensure continuous growth and development of the faculty.

5. Build relationships with legal professionals, law firms, governmental agencies, and other academic institutions. Represent the Faculty of Law in external forums, conferences, and networks.

6. Oversee the administrative functions of the faculty, including policy development and compliance with accreditation standards. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with the university's overall mission.

7. Promote a culture of diversity and inclusivity. Engage with the local, national, and international legal community to strengthen the law school's connections and

reputation.

Required Attributes

1. Must have handled a leadership role for more than 5 years.

2. Strong research background with a portfolio of publications in leading legal journals. Ability to mentor faculty and students in research endeavors.

3. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse academic team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

4. Should have administrative experience in a leadership position, in a law college or department.
