The Head IT & SAP will lead the organization's SAP landscape with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and optimization (70%), while also overseeing IT infrastructure, security, governance, and vendor management (30%). This role partners closely with business stakeholders to drive digital transformation and operational excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities
SAP Leadership (Primary 70%)
- Lead end-to-end SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, migrations (ECC to S/4HANA), and post-go-live support.
- Own SAP solution architecture across SAP S/4HANA, Basis, Security, Authorizations, and Integrations.
- Ensure SAP system performance, availability, scalability, and compliance with internal controls.
- Drive SAP process standardization, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee SAP change management, transport management, system refreshes, and patching.
- Work closely with SAP implementation partners and AMS vendors; manage SLAs, budgets, and delivery timelines.
- Support SAP audits, data integrity checks, and compliance requirements.
IT Infrastructure & Governance (Secondary 30%)
- Define and execute IT infrastructure strategy covering network, servers, storage, backup, DR, and security.
- Responsible for daily IT operations including network management, VPN, system backups, security scans, and remediation.
- Plan and manage timelines for IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, outages, and capacity expansion.
- Design, implement, and govern IT policies, procedures, and best practices in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular system audits across network, servers, databases, and security.
- Prepare and present IT & SAP performance reports to senior leadership.
Key Skills & Competencies
SAP Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP S/4HANA systems.
- Expertise in SAP system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP security, roles, authorizations, and user administration.
- Experience in SAP integrations with third-party systems and cloud platforms.
- SAP certifications (Basis / S/4HANA) are a strong plus.
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of overall IT experience, with significant exposure to SAP implementations.
- Automotive / Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- BE / BTech in Computer Science / Information Science (or equivalent).
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise IT and SAP transformation programs.
