The Position
We are seeking candidates for a Head of India Delivery position. In this role, you will
lead and manage our India based team while ensuring high quality delivery and operational
excellence across our BI and Analytics platform, Arkalytics.
This is a hands-on player coach role where you will lead from the front, actively contributing
to technical work while building and mentoring a high performing India based team. We
operate with minimal management layers, so this role requires strong ownership, direct
accountability, and a balance of leadership and execution.
You will play a critical role in stabilizing and scaling service desk operations, supporting
product initiatives, and driving consistent, high quality delivery across client engagements.
You will spend approximately 30 to 50 percent of your time contributing directly to service
desk tickets, data analysis, and pipeline troubleshooting, particularly for complex or escalated
issues. This is a client facing leadership role that requires strong communication, analytical
thinking, and close collaboration with US based teams.
This role is expected to evolve over time into broader ownership of India operations, including
team expansion, operational scaling, and wider organizational responsibilities. Success in this
role will be defined by the ability to lead from the front, build a high-performing team, and
progressively take on greater ownership across the India organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage a cross functional India based team consisting of Technical Data Analysts and
Data Engineers across both Service Desk and Product support functions, with full
ownership of performance, accountability, and outcomes
- Mentor and develop team members across technical and operational dimensions,
enabling them to independently own and deliver tickets, pipelines, and client
interactions with minimal oversight
- Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, and compensation inputs for the
India team
- Establish and scale a strong operating model including capacity planning, workload
distribution, and service desk rhythms to enable independent execution
- Own end to end delivery outcomes including quality, SLAs, escalations, and client
satisfaction
- Act as the primary point of accountability for India based delivery while partnering
closely with US based leadership to align on priorities, risks, and performance
- Drive accountability, enforce high standards, and ensure disciplined execution across
all service desk and delivery activities
- Actively contribute to and lead resolution of service desk tickets involving SQL,
Tableau, and Python based data pipelines, particularly in high impact or escalated
scenarios
- Lead by example in technical problem solving, root cause analysis, and execution rigor
- Define and enforce operating processes, quality standards, and best practices across
the India team
- Identify gaps in execution and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Translate business and client requirements into clear technical priorities, execution
plans, and effort estimates for the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong expertise in SQL
- Proven ability to balance hands on technical execution with team leadership in a
player coach capacity
- Experience managing and developing technical teams, including mentoring and
performance management
- Experience operating in lean teams with high individual accountability and minimal
management layers
- Strong experience working with at least one modern data platform such as Snowflake,
Databricks, SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2
- Experience working with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience in data warehousing and BI projects
- Experience with AWS
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience interacting with
internal teams and clients
- Experience working with financial institutions such as credit unions or banks
- A strong desire to deeply understand the product and become a subject matter
expert
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
- Strong understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and methodologies
