Company Description Nephrocare India is a premier renal care institute located in central Kolkata, founded and directed by Dr. Pratim Sengupta. The institute provides holistic treatment for a full range of kidney-related conditions, including chronic and genetic kidney diseases, glomerular disorders, urological issues, and end-stage renal disease with dialysis and transplant services. Nephrocare is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory and diagnostic facilities (Carepath India), an in-house pharmacy (Caremed India), and advanced radiological equipment to support comprehensive care. The institute also offers daycare surgeries such as dialysis access creation at affordable costs, along with a cafeteria serving renal-friendly cuisine. Nephrocare aims to deliver complete, integrated kidney care under one roof at accessible prices for patients and families.

Role Description The Head of Human Resources at Nephrocare India will lead the HR function and align people practices with the institute's mission of delivering high-quality renal care. This full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata involves developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and systems to support recruitment, retention, and professional development across clinical and non-clinical teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end talent acquisition, managing onboarding and orientation processes, and ensuring fair and consistent performance management practices. The role will handle employee relations, grievance resolution, and engagement initiatives, while fostering a positive, inclusive, and compliant work environment. The Head of HR will also ensure adherence to labor and employment laws, manage compensation and benefits frameworks, coordinate HR operations and documentation, and partner with leadership on organizational development and workforce planning.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management to lead all aspects of the HR function.
  • Worked in senior position in reputed healthcare company or group
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and update HR Policies aligned with organizational goals and healthcare standards.
  • Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and manage risk responsibly.
  • Proven experience in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within healthcare or service-oriented organizations.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in organizational development, change management, and performance management systems.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems, data-driven decision-making, and reporting.
  • Commitment to ethical practices, diversity, equity, inclusion, and a patient-centered organizational culture.
