Are you a builder, or a maintainer

Most HR leadership roles are about running an existing playbook. This one is different.

We are scouting for a Head of HR for one of our prestigious clients, which is a professional services firm based in Hyderabad. The firm is scaling deliberately and ready to give the People function a dedicated seat at the table.

This is a true builder's seat. It is not designed for a finished article looking to cruise; it is designed for an ambitious, high-capability leader who wants to co-build alongside the CEO and organically grow into the VP HR role over the next 2 to 3 years.

The Mandate: Strategy Meets Ground Execution

You won't just sit in a corner office designing frameworks; you will roll up your sleeves and execute them. Managing a team of two junior HR professionals, you will own:

  • Talent Acquisition: Across all tracks—from associates to partner-track and support staff.
  • Performance & Progression: Running the annual cycle, mentoring systems, and clear paths to Equity Partnership.
  • Total Rewards Architecture: Designing and managing fixed, variable, and long-term reward instruments.
  • Culture & Conduct: Navigating complex partnership dynamics with high emotional intelligence and absolute confidentiality.

Who You Are

  • The Zero-to-One Mindset: You have a proven track record of building HR processes, frameworks, or entire functions from scratch. You thrive in ambiguity.
  • Partnership-Model Exposure: You ideally bring experience from an environment where the business model relies on a partnership structure (e.g., Law Firms, Big 4 Advisory, Tier-1 Consulting, Investment Banking, or Architecture practices). You understand how to influence highly intelligent, independent stakeholders.
  • Location: You are already based in Hyderabad or willing to relocate.
  • Balanced Operator: You can design a 3-year people strategy on Monday and personally resolve an on-the-ground execution bottleneck on Tuesday.
