Role Description The Head of Human Resources will lead the overall HR function, aligning people strategies with organizational goals and supporting a growing manufacturing business. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, with regular coordination with the Dewas plant. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, overseeing recruitment and workforce planning, and managing onboarding, performance management, and employee development programs. The role will handle employee relations matters, ensure compliance with labor and employment laws, and partner with leadership on organizational design, succession planning, and change management. The Head of HR will also oversee compensation and benefits frameworks, drive employee engagement initiatives, and promote a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with experience leading end-to-end HR operations in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in Labor and Employment Law and HR Policies, including practical experience ensuring statutory compliance and managing audits or inspections.
- Proven experience in Employee Relations, including handling grievances, mediating conflicts, and supporting fair, transparent HR practices.
- Demonstrated ability in talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, and succession planning for multi-level teams.
- Experience designing or refining compensation, benefits, and reward programs aligned with market benchmarks and organizational goals.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with the ability to partner closely with senior management and plant leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and build trust across all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) is an advantage.
- Experience implementing HR technology or HRIS systems and using data for workforce analytics and reporting is preferred.
