Job Description

Job Title: Head of HR

Location: Pune

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Senior VP

Role Overview:

The Head of HR acts as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives

with organizational goals. This role focuses on driving people strategies, enhancing employee

engagement, managing talent, and ensuring effective HR operations to support business

growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Business Partnership:

Partner with business leaders to understand goals and translate them into HR strategies

Provide insights on workforce planning, organizational design, and capability building

Drive change management initiatives aligned with business transformation

2. Talent Management:

Lead talent acquisition strategy in collaboration with recruitment teams

Drive performance management processes (goal setting, reviews, feedback cycles)

Identify high-potential employees and create succession plans

3. Employee Engagement & Culture:

Design and implement employee engagement initiatives

Act as a culture champion and promote company values

Analyze engagement survey results and implement action plans

4. Employee Relations:

Manage employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution

Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies

Provide coaching to managers on handling people-related issues

5. Learning & Development:

Identify skill gaps and drive learning interventions

Partner with L&D teams to build leadership and functional capabilities

6. HR Analytics & Reporting:

Track and analyze HR metrics (attrition, engagement, performance)

Provide data-driven insights to leadership for decision-making

7. HR Policy & Process Implementation:

Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures

Drive process improvements and HR automation initiatives

Education: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or related field

Experience:

1. 1012+ years of HR experience, with at least 35 years in an HRBP role

2. Experience working closely with business leaders in a dynamic environment

Skills & Competencies:

1. Strong business acumen and stakeholder management

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

3. Problem-solving and conflict resolution ability

4. Data-driven decision-making

5. Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
