Our executive search team has been retained by a leading Global MNC to identify a Head of Global Planning to be based out of Mumbai. Reporting directly to the Global Supply Planning Director, this role owns the supply planning strategy across 8–10 global manufacturing sites, PFRs, and tollers.
If you are a supply chain leader who enjoys handling complex regional stakeholders and driving execution through standard SIOP frameworks, this role offers excellent visibility and operational autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Manage 5 to 10 Site Planning Managers overseeing global manufacturing operations.
- SIOP & Capacity Planning: Lead long-term (12–18 months) Supply Management Reviews (SMR) to balance global demand and maximize asset utilization. Chair weekly Demand Supply Execution (DSE) processes.
- Inventory Management: Own global site inventory targets and lead cross-functional action plans for Slow & Non-Mover (SNM) stock reductions.
- Shortage & Allocation: Forecast raw material, intermediate, and finished goods shortages. Own the global Allocation Management process using standard allocation rules to handle supply gaps.
- Product Lifecycle: Partner with Marketing and Product Management in Product Management Reviews (PMR) to manage the global planning for product phase-in and phase-out.
Required Profile:- Experience: Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the Chemicals, Manufacturing, or Purchasing sectors, with at least 5 years specifically in Supply Chain Planning.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required. APICS certification is preferred if your degree is not in Logistics or Supply Chain.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SAP Planning and Materials Management along with advanced MS Excel skills.
- S&OP Track Record: Proven experience implementing S&OP/SIOP processes across cross-functional regional or global teams.
- Communication: Ability to influence and align weekly with Regional Commercial leads and Regional Supply Chain Heads. Fluent English is mandatory.
- Industry Background: Understanding of the Chemicals and Textile Industry is a strong advantage.
