A hands-on leadership role. You write production code from day one and own the entire frontend: web, mobile, and in time the team that builds it. The Plan Beyond is a digital estate-planning product for Indian families, so the frontend is the product. It is live today: a responsive web app plus React Native apps shipping on iOS and Android.

•   Web app, end to end. The heart of the role: architecture, performance, design quality, test coverage, and the call on how things get built.

•   Mobile. Our live React Native apps on iOS and Android: their architecture, quality, and roadmap. Run them yourself or staff them while keeping the architectural call.

•   The API boundary. Own the seam: API contracts, the backend-for-frontend layer, error handling. Read a FastAPI endpoint and know exactly what the client needs.

•   Quality. Strict typing, real tests, a coherent design system, every state handled. We hold a high bar already; you raise it.

•   The team, in time. Hire, mentor, and lead the frontend team without losing technical depth.

•   Web: Next.js 14 (App Router), React 18, TypeScript in strict mode, no loose any types. Responsive across desktop and mobile.

•   UI: Tailwind CSS on an in-house design system (tokens plus a custom component library) and Framer Motion.

•   Data and auth: React Context with a typed API client to a FastAPI backend through a BFF layer; Firebase auth.

•   Testing: Vitest for unit tests, Playwright for end-to-end and visual regression.

•   Mobile: React Native on iOS and Android, live in production.

•   7 to 8 years building frontend in earnest, with a real track record of shipping.

•   A consumer-product background at scale (six figures of real users), so performance, edge cases, and real-world messiness are second nature.

•   Deep React and TypeScript, plus strong, production-grade React Native. You write code others want to copy and can carry a mobile codebase forward with confidence.

•   AI-native, fluent with Claude in particular. We build with AI tooling woven through the workflow and standards the team and the model read before every session. You get quality out of it, not slop.

•   A sharp instinct for API design and integration, a genuine eye for design detail, and discipline around testing, types, and code review.

•   The maturity to grow into leading a team while staying hands-on.

•   Shipped an app to both stores; built (not just used) a design system; worked with a Python or FastAPI backend; set up CI or visual-regression testing from scratch; hired and mentored engineers.
