Role Overview:
The Director Finance & Accounting will lead the financial strategy, governance, and operations of a fast-scaling organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will own end-to-end financial management including planning, reporting, compliance, controls, and strategic decision support. This is a senior leadership position with high visibility and direct impact on business growth and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the organization's financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
- Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Provide actionable financial insights and performance analysis to leadership and the board
- Manage fundraising support and investor-facing financial processes, including reporting and compliance
- Establish and strengthen financial controls, policies, and risk management frameworks
- Drive cash flow optimization, liquidity planning, and treasury management
- Conduct financial modeling and strategic analysis for pricing, expansion, partnerships, and investments
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations on key business decisions
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team
- Define and track KPIs to monitor financial health and operational efficiency
- Support evaluation and due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships
Key Qualifications:Must-have
- Master's degree in Finance or a professional qualification (CA / ACCA / equivalent)
- 8+ years of experience in finance leadership roles within high-growth organizations
- Strong expertise in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights
- Experience working closely with senior leadership and managing stakeholder expectations
- Demonstrated people leadership and team-building capability

- Experience supporting venture-backed or growth-stage technology businesses
- Exposure to investor relations, fundraising support, or M&A evaluation
- Prior experience working with global markets or cross-border operations
