About the Company

We are a fast-growing Food & Beverages startup focused on delivering high-quality products with strong

brand positioning and scalable operations. As we expand our footprint, we are looking for a strategic and

hands-on Finance Head to build and lead our finance function.

Role Overview

The Finance Head will be responsible for overseeing the overall financial strategy, planning, risk

management, and financial reporting of the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of startup dynamics, cost structures in F&B, supply chain finance, and investor management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute a financial strategy aligned with business growth plans

Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

Provide strategic financial insights to the leadership team

Drive cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives

2. Financial Operations & Controls

Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, and compliance processes

Ensure timely preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

Implement robust financial controls and internal audit mechanisms

Manage working capital and cash flow efficiently

3. Fundraising & Investor Relations

Support fundraising activities (equity/debt)

Prepare financial models, investor decks, and valuation analysis

Coordinate due diligence processes

Manage investor reporting and stakeholder communication

4. Compliance & Taxation

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, taxation, and corporate laws

Oversee GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable regulations

Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors

5. Business & Commercial Finance

Monitor product-level profitability and SKU margins

Analyze pricing strategies and channel profitability (retail, online, distribution)

Support expansion decisions (new markets, production scale-up)

Drive financial discipline across procurement and supply chain

6. Team Leadership

Build and lead the finance and accounts team

Develop SOPs and scalable financial processes

Collaborate with operations, sales, and procurement teams

Key Requirements

CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification

8–12+ years of experience in finance, preferably in F&B / FMCG / manufacturing startup

Strong experience in financial modeling and fundraising

Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Strong understanding of compliance and taxation

Experience working in a high-growth startup environment is preferred

Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
