Head of Finance

Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on and strategic Head of Finance to build and lead the finance function at RoshAi. This role is ideal for someone who can operate at both strategic and execution levels managing day-to-day finance operations while contributing to business planning, cost optimization, and investor readiness.
You will work closely with the leadership team to ensure financial discipline, scalability, and transparency as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles
- Track burn rate, runway, and unit economics
- Provide insights on cost optimization and profitability
2. Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage end-to-end accounting, payroll, invoicing, and taxation
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (monthly/quarterly/yearly)
- Oversee cash flow management and working capital
3. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to statutory compliance, audits, GST, TDS, and filings
- Build and maintain internal financial controls
- Coordinate with auditors, legal advisors, and consultants
4. Business Finance & Partnering
- Partner with Sales, HR, and Delivery teams on:
- Pricing decisions
- Project cost tracking
- Resource planning
- Support client-level profitability analysis
5. Fundraising Support & Investor Readiness
- Support leadership in fundraising activities and due diligence
- Prepare financial models, data rooms, and investor reports
- Track and report KPIs relevant to investors
6. Systems & Process Building
- Implement and optimize finance tools (ERP, payroll, expense systems)
- Drive automation and process efficiency
- Build scalable systems for future growth (Series A and beyond)
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, CA / MBA Finance / Equivalent
- 8–14 years of experience in finance rolesStrong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
- High ownership and execution capability
- Strong Analytical Skills and proficiency in Finance
- Experience in Budgeting and financial planning
- Ability to provide strategic financial recommendations to leadership
- Proficiency with financial tools and software
- Proven knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and corporate finance principles
- Strong experience in startup or high-growth environment preferred
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills
