Head of Finance based at Ahmedabad (KOEL Fluid Dynamics)
Role Overview:
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include ensuring correct and timely accounting, effective fund management and the punctual preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring full tax compliance, maintaining robust internal controls, and managing the Delegation of Authority (DoA). This position requires strong leadership to guide the F&A team and close coordination with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT), Business Unit heads, and the CEO to support our strategic objectives.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
1. Strategic:
- Financial and business strategy and planning
- Driving F & A team for achieving KRAs with respect to long term organizational goals
- To be part of leadership team for long term profitability and financial stability of organization
- To implement internal control measures
- To direct development of Budget / AOP and long-range plans
- Enterprise Risk management
2. Financial:
- Provide actual data on monthly / quarterly basis with variance analysis
- Ensuring completeness of financials with accuracy in timely manner
- Review of Monthly Debtors, Creditors, Inventory & all balance sheets items along with Cashflow
- Treasury management
- Product level and Segmental profitability
- Savings verification and actual impact to profitability
- Finalization of financials as per Ind AS & get the books audited
3. Operational:
- Timely and correct submission of monthly MIS for MRM, quarterly Board meetings
- Improve timelines for MRM submission from baseline
- To collaborate with CFT, HODs and F & A sources
- Close coordination with internal auditors
- Monitoring of individual activities of direct reportees at regular intervals
- To establish review mechanism within F & A
- To prepare SOPs and RCM for finance activities
- ERP automation
- Demonstrating skills like planning & organizing, decision making & leadership, communications, adaptability, analytics
4. People:
- Training & development of team members through external / internal resources
- Soft skill and hard skill development for team
- Managerial and communication skill development
- Timely performance evaluation
Experience & Qualifications:
- Years of Service: Up to 15 years of post-qualification experience in ensuring accurate and timely accounting, managing funds, and leading the preparation of Annual Operating Plans (AOP) from a manufacturing domain.
- Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of overseeing tax compliance, internal controls, and Delegation of Authority (DoA). Extensive experience coordinating with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT), Business Unit heads, and the CEO to drive strategic objectives. Must have been in a leadership role for up to 5 years.
- Education:Chartered Accountant is a must

- Conflict Resolution: Extensive experience coordinating with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT), Business Unit heads, and the CEO to drive strategic objectives
- Agility: Comfortable moving between a startup environment in Ahmedabad and a legacy environment and have the ability and agility to bring change.
