Position Overview

We are seeking a Head of Finance, International to work closely with international business and regional leadership teams to drive financial planning, business performance and operational decision-making across Asia Pacific (excluding China), Europe, the United States and Latin America.

Reporting to the Group CFO, this role will provide overall finance leadership for the international businesses, with a primary focus on business partnering, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and strategic decision support.

The position will also provide oversight and guidance on financial reporting, internal controls, corporate governance, company secretarial and administrative matters. Given the start-up nature of many of our international operations, the role will work closely with local management teams and external service providers on accounting, payroll, tax, statutory compliance and other local finance and corporate requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. International Finance Leadership

  • Act as the principal finance coordination point between the international businesses and Group Finance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to local finance resources across Asia Pacific (excluding China), Europe, the United States and Latin America.
  • Provide practical guidance to international sites on finance, governance and operational matters, particularly where established processes or dedicated resources may not yet exist.
  • Build effective relationships across countries and functions to align business priorities with Group financial objectives.
  • Support the development of finance capabilities and scalable operating practices as the international business expands.
  • Promote financial discipline, accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Requirements

2. Business Partnering & Decision Support

  • Act as the senior finance business partner to international business leaders and functions including Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Commercial Operations, Quality and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Provide financial insight and constructive challenge to support commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Develop financial models and analyses to evaluate business opportunities, pricing, commercial agreements and investments.
  • Support business cases relating to new products, market expansion, distribution models, partnerships and capital expenditure.
  • Support strategic projects, investments, acquisitions and integration activities relating to the international businesses.

3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Lead financial planning and performance management across the international businesses.
  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-term strategic planning aligned with the Company's international growth plans.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop revenue, expense, headcount and investment plans.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting and variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Analyse key performance indicators including revenue, margin, operating expenses, customer and product profitability and sales effectiveness.
  • Identify key trends, risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to management.

4. Financial Reporting, Accounting & Controls

  • Provide overall finance oversight and ensure timely, accurate and consistent financial reporting across the international businesses.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing and coordinate with local finance teams, Group Finance and external accounting service providers.
  • Ensure appropriate accounting policies, internal controls and approval processes are implemented and consistently applied.
  • Monitor balance sheet, working capital, cash flow and other key financial management activities.
  • Coordinate with local teams and external service providers on audits, tax, statutory reporting and financial compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of finance processes, reporting and controls.

5. Corporate Governance, Company Secretarial & Administration

  • Provide overall guidance and oversight to international entities on corporate governance, company secretarial, statutory compliance and general administrative matters.
  • Guide international management teams on appropriate local governance, policies, approval processes and administrative practices in alignment with Group requirements.
  • Oversee and support board and shareholder-related activities, corporate records and follow-up on resolutions and action items.
  • Coordinate with local management and external company secretarial, legal, tax and compliance service providers to ensure compliance with local requirements.
  • Provide guidance to international sites on corporate and administrative matters where dedicated local resources or expertise may not be available.
  • Support the establishment of new international entities and operations, including finance, governance, banking, insurance and other corporate setup requirements.

6. Commercial & Operational Finance

  • Provide financial oversight of key commercial and operational processes, including inventory, customer credit, payments and expense management.
  • Work with Commercial Operations and Supply Chain teams to monitor inventory, working capital and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost efficiency and operating leverage.
  • Support the development of scalable finance processes, systems and ERP initiatives as the international businesses grow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of regional or international leadership experience in commercial finance, FP&A, business partnering or financial management, preferably within multinational medical device, healthcare or other international commercial organisations.
  • Experience supporting businesses across multiple countries or regions, with strong budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and performance management capabilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into practical business insights and recommendations.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, tax and statutory compliance, with the ability to oversee local finance teams and external service providers.
  • Understanding of international commercial operations, including ERP systems, inventory, working capital and supply chain processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across countries, cultures and functions.
  • Hands-on, adaptable and commercially minded, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong proficiency in business English.
