Job Description

. JOB PURPOSE

Lead and drive strategic financial governance, performance, and compliance across dnata's multi‑market operations. Ensure strong financial control, accurate reporting, and effective risk management while partnering with senior leadership to shape long‑term commercial and operational decisions. Lead rigorous financial planning and protect shareholder value to support sustainable growth and strengthen the organisation's global market leadership.

2. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS (MAXIMUM OF 7)

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term modelling to drive informed strategic and operational decision‑making.
  • Optimise financial performance and working capital, including cash flow, funding requirements, billing, and receivables management.
  • Strengthen governance, internal controls, and compliance across all sites to safeguard shareholder value and ensure robust risk management.
  • Oversee statutory, regulatory, audit, and group reporting obligations, ensuring timely, accurate submissions and strong external auditor and banking relationships.
  • Assess capital expenditure and strategic investments, providing clear recommendations that maximise financial and operational returns.
  • Partner with senior leadership on commercial initiatives, including customer proposals, tenders, supplier negotiations, and contract governance.
  • Drive financial process improvement and technology adoption, contributing to global one dnata finance initiatives and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring high team capability, succession planning, and effective representation at Executive and Board levels.

3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline (Master's degree or MBA preferred).

Fully qualified accountant with a recognised professional accounting body, such as:

ACA – Associate Chartered Accountant

CIMA – Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Chartered Global Management Accountant – CGMA)

ACCA – Association of Chartered Certified Accountants

Strong knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and global statutory reporting requirements.

Experience:

Senior financial leadership experience across multiple markets or entities. Experience in complex, fast‑paced sectors such as travel, aviation, or services is preferred, along with international exposure to diverse regulatory environments.

Knowledge/skills:

  • Strong grounding in governance, risk, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Proven capability in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic modelling, along with a solid track record managing audits, statutory reporting, and regulator or auditor relationships.
  • Strong commercial finance expertise, including capex assessment and investment analysis, and be an effective partner to senior executives, Boards, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience driving process improvement, automation, and adoption of financial technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate high‑performing finance teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker who converts financial insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborative, resilient, and operates with integrity and sound judgement in a global environment.
