Job Description

Role Overview:

The Head of Finance & Accounts will serve as the financial steward of the organization, partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive financial strategy, governance, and sustainable growth. This role is responsible for end-to-end financial management, including planning, reporting, controls, investor engagement, and team leadership, while building scalable financial systems to support rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with long-term business objectives
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements, MIS reports, and board-level reporting
  • Establish and strengthen financial processes, internal controls, and compliance frameworks
  • Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity
  • Drive financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate growth initiatives, pricing, expansion, and strategic investments
  • Lead fundraising support, investor reporting, and stakeholder communications
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, and operations to provide financial insights for decision-making
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance and accounts team
  • Define and track key financial KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance
  • Lead financial due diligence and evaluation for potential acquisitions or strategic partnerships
Key Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Master's degree in Finance or a professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably within high-growth, venture-backed organizations
  • Strong expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Proven experience in financial controls, risk management, and governance
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated team leadership and stakeholder management experience

Good-to-Have:

  • Exposure to global markets and cross-border financial operations
  • Prior experience supporting fundraising and investor relations
  • Experience in M&A evaluation and financial due diligence
