Job description:
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Review and update the previous day's work schedule and address any disputes by planning immediate solutions on SOS basis, including Maintenance and Utility-related issues.
- Follow up on Work-in-Progress (WIP) for the current day and review all utility reports on a daily basis. Identify abnormalities, resolve issues promptly, and communicate the same to management.
- Ensure that all instructions and critical information are effectively communicated to the bottom-line staff.
- Oversee all maintenance activities, including planning, repairs, installations, and shutdown maintenance.
- Manage and control the maintenance budget to ensure cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Ensure that all machinery and equipment are properly maintained, safe to operate, and available as per production requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to Fire Safety, Boilers, Power, ETP, Water Discharge, and Pollution Control norms.
- Implement and manage a preventive maintenance system to reduce breakdowns and minimize emergency maintenance work.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, maintenance logs, and documentation for audit and review purposes.
- Monitor equipment spare stock levels and coordinate with the Purchase Department and vendors for timely procurement of materials and services.
- Plan and execute new project works, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil-related activities.
- Analyze monthly electrical power bills, identify any abnormalities, and determine root causes to control energy costs.
- Conduct training programs for new and existing engineering and maintenance team members to enhance skills and safety awareness.
- Design and implement effective maintenance strategies, procedures, and best practices to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
- Ensure timely sludge discharge activities as per environmental norms on a yearly basis.
- Implement and monitor a feedback system on a monthly basis to improve maintenance effectiveness and team performance.
