Seeking an on-site Head of Engineering in India to lead engineering strategy, scale teams, and own technical delivery.
Primary Title: Head of Engineering (Music Technology)
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute technology strategy: set architecture standards, roadmaps, and KPIs to support product goals and scaling to millions of users.
- Build and lead high-performing engineering teams across backend, mobile, ML, and SREhire, coach, and retain senior technical talent.
- Own end-to-end delivery: prioritize roadmap, ensure timely releases, enforce quality (testing, observability) and maintain SLAs for live audio systems.
- Architect scalable, real-time audio pipelines and microservices for streaming, collaboration, and recommendation features.
- Partner with Product, ML, and Design to translate research and user needs into production-grade systems and measurable business outcomes.
- Establish engineering excellence: CI/CD, security posture, incident management, cost-optimisation, and documentation practices.
