Geta.ai is building an AI-native customer engagement platform across WhatsApp, Voice, and Web enabling businesses to automate, engage, and convert customers intelligently.

We are moving beyond traditional automation into systems that think, decide, and act. We are looking for a strong engineering leader to help us build that future.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As Head of Engineering, you will lead a team of 8 mid-to-senior engineers, working closely with the founder to establish engineering practices, own system architecture, and drive product execution with speed and quality.

Tech Stack

Python, Django, Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, WhatsApp API, Voice / WebRTC, LLM Orchestration

The stack is evolving the right candidate will play a key role in shaping its future architecture.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

Real-time multi-channel messaging

WhatsApp, Voice, and Web building reliable, low-latency pipelines that handle high-volume customer conversations simultaneously.

LLM & AI agent orchestration

Designing systems that go beyond scripted bots agents that think, decide, and act autonomously in production environments.

Scale and reliability of engagement infra

Building infrastructure that serves active paying customers reliably handling growth, uptime, and performance at scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering Ownership

Define and enforce high code quality standards

Set up strong code review and development practices

Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of systems

Hands-on Problem Solving

Actively contribute to code when required

Debug and resolve complex technical issues

Improve existing architecture and eliminate bottlenecks

Architecture & System Design

Design scalable backend systems and APIs

Make critical decisions on tech stack and system design

Balance speed vs. scalability in an early-stage environment

Team Building & Mentorship

Mentor and elevate 8 mid-to-senior engineers

Hire the next layer of senior engineers and architects

Create a culture of ownership and accountability

Product & Execution

Work closely with the founder on product roadmap

Ensure fast, high-quality releases

Bring structure without adding unnecessary processes

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

1015 years of strong engineering experience

Proven experience building or scaling SaaS or tech products

Strong backend and system design expertise (Python / Django preferred)

Hands-on coding experience recent and relevant

Familiarity with AI/LLM integration and agent architectures is a strong plus

Experience in code reviews, debugging, and improving code quality

Ability to identify and fix poor architecture quickly
