Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Engineering department to achieve academic excellence.
- Plan and monitor curriculum delivery, academic schedules, and departmental activities.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate faculty performance.
- Ensure compliance with AICTE, UGC, university, and accreditation requirements.
- Promote research, innovation, consultancy, and industry collaboration.
- Monitor student academic performance and implement improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate academic events, workshops, seminars, internships, and placement activities.
- Prepare departmental budgets, reports, and strategic plans.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality education, and professional development.
- Strong academic background and subject expertise.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Experience in curriculum planning, accreditation processes, and academic administration.
- Knowledge of AICTE/UGC/University regulations and quality standards.
- Ability to mentor faculty members and guide student development.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) and Master's degree (M.E./M.Tech) in the relevant Engineering discipline.
- Ph.D. in the relevant Engineering field is preferred (or mandatory as per institutional/AICTE norms, if applicable).
Experience: 10–15+ years in engineering education, with leadership experience preferred.
