Purpose of the Role
The Candidate will lead Chubb Singapore's Direct Marketing business and Growth Partnerships function, driving aggressive expansion by building and executing a robust partnership and ecosystem strategy across Consumer Lines. The role is responsible for accelerating customer acquisition, expanding distribution through embedded insurance and strategic alliances, and positioning Direct Marketing Insurance as a key growth engine. The Candidate will own full P&L accountability, including revenue growth, profitability, and portfolio performance, while identifying new business opportunities across consumer products. Additionally, the role will develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and commercial excellence to deliver sustainable, customer-centric growth and support Chubb's transformation into an ecosystem-driven organization.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Business Leadership & P&L Ownership
- Own and drive the Direct Marketing business P&L, with accountability for revenue growth, profitability, expense management and sustainable business performance.
- Define and execute the Direct Marketing strategy and annual operating plan, aligned with business priorities and growth objectives.
- Deliver sales, Gross Written Premium (GWP), profitability and expense targets while maintaining strong underwriting discipline and customer outcomes.
- Monitor business and portfolio performance to identify opportunities that optimize growth, profitability and long-term value.
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and commercial excellence.
- Strategic Partnerships & Business Development
- Develop and execute a partnership growth strategy across banks, financial institutions, fintech's, digital platforms, retailers, affinity groups and ecosystem partners.
- Identify, acquire and onboard strategic partners, leading commercial negotiations and joint business planning.
- Build and manage executive-level partner relationships to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth and long-term value creation.
- Develop innovative insurance propositions, distribution models and ecosystem partnerships that expand customer reach and unlock new growth opportunities.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of partnership opportunities and new business initiatives.
- Direct Marketing, Telemarketing & Digital Growth
- Lead the execution of integrated customer acquisition and growth strategies across direct marketing, telemarketing, digital and partner channels.
- Partner closely with the Telemarketing Leadership team to maximize campaign effectiveness, sales productivity, lead conversion and customer retention.
- Optimize customer journeys, lead generation and marketing performance through data-driven insights, CRM capabilities and continuous improvement.
- Expand digital insurance distribution capabilities through embedded insurance solutions, digital partnerships and enhanced customer experiences.
- Support the development of new digital products, propositions and growth initiatives to drive sustainable customer and portfolio growth.
- Commercial & Stakeholder Management
- Deliver business performance in line with P&L objectives, financial commitments and strategic priorities.
- Analyze campaign, partner and portfolio performance to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability and return on investment.
- Manage marketing investments and budgets to maximize commercial outcomes.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Underwriting, Finance, Operations, Technology and Regional teams to execute growth initiatives.
- Present business performance, strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience across Direct Marketing, Partnerships, Business Development, Consumer Distribution, Insurance, Financial Services, Fintech or related industries.
- Proven track record in acquiring, managing and growing strategic partnerships, with strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through direct, digital and partner distribution channels, with strong business development capabilities.
- Experience managing a business or portfolio with P&L accountability and delivering performance against revenue, profitability and expense targets.
- Strong understanding of customer acquisition, lead generation, distribution models and consumer marketing, with a customer-centric and data-driven approach.
- Experience leading multi-channel distribution strategies, including telemarketing, digital marketing, partnerships and ecosystem-based growth initiatives.
- Strategic, entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and execute scalable growth strategies.
- Proven people leadership and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrix, cross-functional environment and engage senior stakeholders.
