Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive development strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Provide visionary leadership to the development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance development processes and outcomes.
- Implement automation tools and processes to streamline development workflows, increase productivity, and enhance code quality.
Full Stack Development:
- Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, including UI design, backend architecture, AI/ML integration, and software database administration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable and robust solutions that meet business requirements.
- Ensure the optimization of performance, security, and scalability across all development initiatives.
Team Management and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing development team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning within the development organization.
- Manage resource allocation, staffing, and talent acquisition efforts to support project needs and growth objectives.
- Mentor team members on DevSecOps principles, Agile methodologies, and SDLC best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Technology Expertise:
- Demonstrate expertise in cloud technologies, including Azure, GCP, and AWS, to architect and deploy scalable cloud-based solutions.
- Possess proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, and frameworks/libraries including Spring Boot, .NET Core, React, or Angular.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in DevSecOps, Agile development, and software engineering, and apply them to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Serve as a key liaison between development, operations, and business stakeholders, facilitating communication and fostering productive relationships.
KPI Reporting
- Responsible for delivering industry-leading KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to evaluate the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of the development process.
- Develop and maintain metrics to measure and optimize key aspects of the development lifecycle, such as Cycle time, change rate failure, defect escape rate, development throughput, efficiency, and code quality, into clear insights, utilizing visualizations and contextual analysis.
- Tailor reports to various stakeholders, highlighting trends and promoting transparency to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on full stack development and 5+ years in a senior management or leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex development projects on time and within budget.
- Extensive experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, GCP, and AWS, including cloud architecture design and deployment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, and frameworks/libraries including Spring Boot, .NET Core, React, or Angular.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application within software development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Proficient in implementing and managing DevSecOps practices, ensuring the seamless integration of security measures throughout the development lifecycle.
- Experienced in Agile/Scrum methodologies, adept at fostering collaboration, iteration, and continuous improvement within cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in driving SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) best practices, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Location: This position is based at our Chennai / Kochi office and may require occasional travel.
