Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Head of Department position based in New Delhi. The Head of Department will oversee and manage the execution of projects related to railway, metro, and tramway system maintenance. Daily responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, ensuring project delivery within timelines, coordinating with stakeholders, strategizing operational plans, and maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in client liaison, risk management, resource allocation, and promoting overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Leadership and management skills, including the ability to direct teams, set goals, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong project planning and coordination, including experience collaborating with various stakeholders (e.g., contractors, suppliers, and teams).
  • Technical understanding and expertise in the railway, metro, or tramway maintenance systems domain, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities for addressing challenges and optimizing operations.
  • Proven track record in contract management, including managing DLP and AMC/CAMC support services.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in project management or railway/transportation systems are a plus.
  • Experience in working with metro, railway, or tramway projects, and knowledge of industry practices and compliance regulations are advantageous.
