Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Department of Law and ensure effective academic administration.
  • Plan and coordinate teaching schedules, workload allocation, examinations, and departmental activities.
  • Supervise and mentor faculty members and support their academic development.
  • Ensure implementation of the prescribed curriculum and academic standards.
  • Promote research, publications, conferences, seminars, moot courts, legal aid activities, and collaborations.
  • Guide students in academic, research, internship, and career-related matters.
  • Coordinate with the Dean/Principal/University administration on departmental matters.
  • Maintain departmental records, reports, accreditation documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Support NAAC/NIRF/other quality-assurance and accreditation activities, where applicable.
  • Develop industry, university, court, law-firm, NGO, and other professional collaborations.
  • Encourage innovative teaching methods and technology-enabled legal education.
  • Handle other academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the institution.

Experience

  • 5–6 years of relevant teaching/academic experience in Law at a recognized university/college/institution.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience in academic

Educational Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university/institution.
  • Master's Degree (LL.M.) in Law from a recognized university
  • UGC-NET (Law) / SET/SLET qualified, as applicable.
