Job Overview -
We're hiring for Head of Content to lead the content flywheel that builds the Founder's personal brand and scales Brandslane from AI-powered content engines to monetisation and full-funnel execution across YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and more.
You will own content end-to-end: idea production distribution optimisation monetisation. Your job is to build scalable content engines (heavy use of generative AI + production workflows), turn complex ideas into clear, platform-native formats, and create repeatable systems that produce high-quality content at speed. You'll build and lead a small team, work across social platforms, creative and product, and be the single owner for the founder's attention and Brandslane's content business outcomes.
What you'll own (core responsibilities) -
- Content Strategy & Vision Define the content roadmap for the Founder and Brandslane across long-form (YouTube, podcasts) and short-form (Reels, Shorts, LinkedIn clips), aligned to business KPIs.
- Content Engines & Systems Architect repeatable systems (prompt libraries, templates, creative stacks, SOPs, production calendars) that turn ideas into platform-ready assets at scale.
- AI + Workflow Automation Own AI toolchain selection and pipelines (generation, upscaling, editing, captioning, repurposing), plus automations for publishing, tracking and repurposing.
- Production Leadership Lead ideation, scripting, shoots, editing, motion design and post-production. Ensure final assets are polished and performance-ready.
- Monetisation & Productisation Create content products and funnels (courses, premium content, paid newsletters, workshops) that monetise audience attention and support service upsells.
- Distribution & Growth Plan distribution strategies and experiments to grow reach, subscribers and meaningful engagement across platforms. Coordinate paid amplification when needed.
- Team & Vendor Management Hire, mentor and manage writers, editors, motion designers and freelance partners. Create role playbooks and career paths.
- Analytics & Optimization Define content KPIs, build dashboards (views, watch time, CTR, conversion), run experiments and apply learnings to improve creative and funnel performance.
- Cross-Functional Alignment Work with Media, Growth, Product and Sales to feed content into paid funnels, lead magnets and sales enablement assets.
- Founder Partnership Prep the Founder for content outputs (briefs, talking points, on-camera coaching), manage calendar of content commitments and protect creator focus time.
Must-have -
- Proven track record owning content strategy and production for a brand/founder or agency; demonstrable outcomes (growth, leads, revenue).
- Deep familiarity with platform formats & best practices across YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and short-form video ecosystems.
- Hands-on production experience: scripting, editing, motion graphics, and final exports. Comfortable delivering polished assets or leading teams who do.
- Experienced with generative AI in creative workflows (prompt design, iteration, image/video gen, inpainting, upscaling, text-to-video workflows).
- Systems thinker: you can design SOPs, build prompt libraries, templates and automation that scale output without quality loss.
- Strong product sense: able to create monetisable content products and map content to revenue.
- Data literate: able to set KPIs, run experiments, and use results to optimise creative and funnels.
- People leader: hiring, coaching and managing a small creative team + external vendors.
- Excellent written & verbal communication; on-camera comfort a plus.
- Seniority: typically 5+ years in content-led roles (agency or startup) we'll prioritise work and impact over exact years.
Success metrics (KPIs) -
- Growth: followers / subscribers and attention metrics (watch time, avg view duration).
- Output: number of high-quality assets shipped per week and reuse rate across channels.
- Engagement & conversion: CTR, lead signups from content, content opportunity conversion.
- Monetisation: revenue from content products or attributable upsells.
- Efficiency: reduction in time/cost per asset via systems and AI; % of output generated from templates/prompt library.
