We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to head the Projects and Construction vertical for a leading real estate and development organization. This role is responsible for driving enterprise-level execution strategy, portfolio governance, operational excellence, and long-term scalability across large residential and mixed-use development projects.
The Head of Construction will play a critical role in aligning project execution with broader business objectives, ensuring strong delivery outcomes, capital efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sustainable organizational growth. This position goes beyond construction delivery and focuses on building scalable operating models, strengthening governance frameworks, and enabling long-term business performance.

Key Responsibilities
Business Leadership & Portfolio Strategy
- Define and lead the strategic direction of the Projects and Construction vertical aligned with organizational growth plans
- Translate business priorities into portfolio execution strategies and operational roadmaps
- Drive enterprise-wide decision-making related to project prioritization, delivery sequencing, execution readiness, and resource allocation
- Build long-term operational capability and scale readiness across the function
- Sponsor and lead transformation initiatives focused on operational excellence and execution maturity
Portfolio Performance & Business Outcomes
- Own overall portfolio performance across project delivery, capital deployment, quality, customer commitments, and operational efficiency
- Establish governance structures, executive review mechanisms, and performance management frameworks
- Improve visibility through forecasting, portfolio analytics, and decision-making dashboards
- Balance aggressive growth goals with disciplined and sustainable execution capabilities
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery bottlenecks across projects
Commercial Performance & Capital Stewardship
- Drive construction economics, budget governance, productivity optimization, and capital utilization
- Support investment decisions through feasibility assessments and execution planning
- Improve cost predictability, delivery efficiency, and commercial performance across projects
- Strengthen governance across procurement, contracts, vendor management, and portfolio exposure
- Ensure execution strategies support long-term profitability and business sustainability
Enterprise Delivery Excellence
- Build and institutionalize scalable delivery operating models across projects and execution environments
- Standardize governance, controls, engineering practices, and performance benchmarks
- Drive quality excellence, innovation adoption, and operational maturity
- Improve execution speed, consistency, and customer delivery outcomes
- Develop repeatable systems and processes that support portfolio scalability
Organizational Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing project and delivery leadership teams
- Build strong accountability structures, succession plans, and leadership development programs
- Drive organization design and workforce planning aligned with future business growth
- Strengthen collaboration across Design, Procurement, Finance, Sales, CRM, and other business functions
- Foster a culture of ownership, operational discipline, commercial thinking, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of progressive leadership experience in real estate, infrastructure, or large-scale development organizations
- Proven track record managing enterprise-level project portfolios with high capital and operational complexity
- Strong experience balancing business performance with execution excellence
- Deep understanding of construction management, project lifecycle management, and delivery governance
- Strong commercial acumen with exposure to investment planning, capital productivity, and portfolio governance
- Experience building scalable operating models and leading organizations through growth and transformation phases
- Strong stakeholder management and executive leadership capabilities
- Demonstrated success in building leadership teams and long-term organizational capability
