Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer / Head of Construction - Residential Projects to lead and manage our construction projects from planning to execution. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Mivan shuttering technology, deep knowledge of project management practices, and a proven track record of working with contractors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of projects.
This is a senior leadership position, responsible for overseeing the entire construction department, managing teams, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and mitigating project delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects to ensure timely completion within budget and quality standards.
- Oversee Mivan shuttering works (aluminium formwork), ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Manage and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and contractors, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project progress.
- Monitor project milestones, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to avoid delays.
- Ensure strict adherence to project timelines, cost control, quality assurance, and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) compliance.
- Conduct regular site inspections, progress reviews, and prepare MIS/reports for management.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Optimize resources (material, manpower, equipment) to achieve maximum efficiency on site.
- Implement best practices in project management and construction technology to improve execution efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.E. / M.Tech preferred).
- 20+ years in construction project management with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in Mivan technology (aluminium formwork) execution and supervision.
- Knowledge of modern construction methodologies, project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Strong understanding of contracts, BOQs, budgets, and billing.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple contractors, and drive accountability.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
