Role Overview: -
Head – Commercial will lead the end-to-end commercial function for the organization, driving pricing strategy, distribution excellence, customer partnerships, regulatory compliance, tendering, and order management across domestic and international markets. The role is critical in ensuring profitability, market competitiveness, and adherence to stringent medical device regulations.
Key Responsibilities: -
- Commercial Strategy & Leadership – Define strategy, lead cross-functional alignment, drive revenue and margin growth.
- Pricing Strategy & Governance – Develop pricing frameworks, ensure regulatory compliance, optimize margins.
- Distribution & Channel Management – Design distribution networks, manage logistics and channel partners.
- Customer & Key Account Management – Manage hospital/institutional relationships, lead negotiations and contracts.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensure adherence to CDSCO, ISO, and international regulations; audit readiness.
- Tendering & Institutional Business – Lead government and private tender strategy, manage GeM portal.
- Order Management (Domestic & Export) – Oversee full order lifecycle, export compliance, and Incoterms.
- Financial & Risk Management – Own commercial P&L, monitor receivables, and mitigate commercial risks.
Key Requirements: -
- Education: B.E./B.Pharma/Life Sciences/Commerce; MBA preferred
- Experience: 15–20 years in commercial roles in medical devices, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing (MNC/structured org preferred)
- Technical: ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics / SAP preferred)
- Level: Senior leadership — AGM/GM equivalent or above
