The overall purpose is to provide leadership in the formulation and implementation of the Finance and Accounting strategies for the commercial & sales operations with the aim of achieving an optimal financial position, balancing operational efficiency with compliance and risk management to drive sustainable growth and maintain positive stakeholder relationships. Additionally, responsible to drive financial performance, mitigate risks, and support strategic decision-making processes through comprehensive analysis and collaboration with key stakeholders.
Leading by example, the Finance Commercial Controller promotes a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function. He is responsible to drive process efficiencies, leverage technology solutions, and champion best practices to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and decision support capabilities.
Furthermore, Business Commercial Controller fosters strategic partnerships with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to evaluate business opportunities, pricing strategies, and investment decisions
Experience: 12 Years +
Qualification: CA Qualified or MBA with Reputed College
Duties & Responsibilities :
BUSINESS PARTNERING
Partnering to Sales & Marketing
- Ensure effective and efficient management and control of all revenue and expenditure budgets for companies Programme
- Monitor and control the companies Incentive programme, ensure due diligently the said incentives are released
- Ensuring Target Vs Achievement tracking of company to monitor the performance of company & lead to specific decision making like recovery in case of under performance
- Present monthly, quarterly and annual on the Business financial position on Scheme & Discount, Marketing Actuals Vs Budget Variance, reviewing forecast to ensure cost within budget
- Partner with sales, marketing, and operational teams to evaluate competitor's policy, pricing strategies, challenges which lead to reduction of channel conflict
- Develop an appropriate strategy for improvise on operation excellence as integration of SFDC, seamless banking transaction & Channel financing
- Collating indicators from initiating Dealers feedback survey to enhance dealer and customer satisfaction
Partnering to SCM & Service
- Reviewing accurate and timely financial reports on Supply chain MIS and Service MIS with forecasts, and budgets for business units and senior management
- Present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports on the Business financial position on Supply chain cost Comparative with corresponding MIS to evaluate over & under cost
- Monitor inventory levels at the C&FA and distributors, monitor, co-ordinate with supply chain and sales to manage the inventory levels.
Credit & AR Management
- Providing Key metrics on Credit evaluation for customers to drive the sales and engaging customers
- Implement collection strategies to reduce outstanding receivables and improve cash flow, while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Evaluate new and existing customers creditworthiness by analyzing credit reports, financial statements, and payment history
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports regularly to identify past due accounts and follow up with customers to facilitate timely payments
- Responsible for the Monthly credit reviews at the company to ensure the receivables are in control and as per company norms
- Facilitate accurate and timely preparation of key critical reports and financial reports as and when required.
- Implement robust data validation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial & reliable data
- Initiating Civil & criminal cases for customer's receivables in case customers account is stuck
GST & Statutory Compliances:
- Responsible for statutory compliance at the company, SPOC for GST compliance at the company and support / guidance to the Business team on the taxation requirements at the company
- Closure of Appeals and Assessments at the company
BUDGET CONTROL
- Review & Monitor of the budget for Sales Discount, Marketing, CFA, secondary freight and S&D, monitor expenses against budget and initiate action in case of any deviation
- Lead the annual budgeting process for assigned business units, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and objectives
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance, analyze variances, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop action plan to address deviations and financial goals are met.
Closing Audit & Risk Governance:
- Support the Business Performance management process through accuracy of provision on AR, PBDD, Sales discounts, Marketing, SCM of relevant financial data based on the outlined Key Performance Indicators
- Co-ordinate the preparation and dissemination of periodic financial statements and interpretation & report the MIS of the same to the stake holders
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls, and provide guidance on financial policies and procedures
